Growing up in northern New Jersey, Joe's interest in art started in high school in the mid 1960s. He continued taking classes while attending college and during his 20's in between serving in the US Air Force and joining his family business.
In the restaurant business in New Jersey for 40 years, he painted on and off while time allowed. Now retired in California, Joe has more time to dedicate to his oil painting while being closer to his children and grandchildren.
Joe gets his inspiration from the outdoor beauty that surrounds us. While he paints everything from natural landscapes to architecture, his favorite objects are small vignettes such as entryways, windows and gardens, or photos from his daughter's travels.
